Side 2 recorded November 6th, 1977, 8:30, New Mexico. Side 1 primarily in Spanish; Side 2 in English and Spanish. Co-founder of La Academia de la Nueva Raza, an organization in New Mexico committed to creating a growing body of knowledge expressed through oral history, folklore, personal history and the arts. Jaramillo was a member of the Black Berets (Gorras Negras), a group started in the 1960s to challenge power structures and to fight injustice inflicted on communities of color. Jaramillo used his sermons to draw attention to these injustices.
