Abstract

The United States of America's founding principles are under attack. The increase of polarization from mainstream attention on politics is ruining American Democracy. Making politics boring again is knowing that politics is a secondary concern. Focusing on pertinent concerns for an individual and their local community abuts this idea. F.A. Hayek's preeminent work creates a classically liberal perspective on how a civilized society naturally constructs laws and government. Centrally planned orders, created through scientific data, enchains citizens into rules unsuited for their lives. A community exists through rules that naturally occur and inevitably become law when it is beneficial and necessary to do so. Allowing citizens to govern with each other, rather than succumbing to laws from an overarching power, is the key to maintaining a civilized community. A political system founded on liberty allows people to dignify their lives and find fulfillment through their initiative. The American public must recognize the values of its founders and focus on their personal lives before politics to foster their civil union.
