In this paper/adapted speech, William Broder goes into the future possibilities for the existing music industry if Blockchain forward Web3 technologies are adopted. It discusses ideas of artist autonomy, reimagined fan engagement, and the relieving of pain-points in the current, inequitable DSP/Label dominated model. The change to Web3 is argued to require mass adoption by both artists and fans, however the potential that new technologies have for the industry are undeniably groundbreaking.
