Abstract
Through the pursuit of wisdom, may mortals overcome the trials of fate in order to return Home? If so, how? This paper seeks to answer this question through a typological comparative analysis of the Homeric and Judeo-Christian construction and conceptualization of the role of wisdom, fate, and agency in the journey Home.
