In the process of creating an EP of songs over the course of a year, I reflected on who I am as a musician and my ability to create. This paper is an analysis of these topics, in which I delve into each area of struggle I attempted to overcome and describe the methods in which I went about improving as a musician. The first area of interest is technicals skills for music production, the second is creative skills for songwriting and sound design, and the third is focused on the practice of discipline.
