Kathryn Jagow Mohrman grew up in Galesburg, Illinois, earned her BA degree from Grinnell College in 1967; a Master’s Degree in American history from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, in 1969; and a PhD from George Washington University in 1982. She was dean of undergraduate studies at the University of Maryland when she was hired as president of Colorado College, where she served from 1993 until 2002. After leaving Colorado College, she spent a year as a Fulbright Scholar in Hong Kong. She then served on the faculty of the School for Public Affairs at Arizona State University and headed several projects involving collaboration between ASU and universities in both Vietnam and the Peoples Republic of China. She retired from ASU in 2015.
