Harold L. Jones, professor emeritus of Chemistry, grew up in Hillsboro, Oregon, and earned his Bachelor of Science degree at Oregon State University in 1965. He earned a Ph. D. in Organic Chemistry at the University of Colorado in 1969 and started teaching at Colorado College in that same year. He retired from the college in 2010.
