Abstract

The Biology of Plants Coloring Textbook was created by Dr. Rachel S. Jabaily (Colorado College Dept. Organismal Biology & Ecology) and M.G.B. Hurst (Colorado College class of 2025) with a grant from the Charles L. Tutt Library Open Education Curriculum Development Grant. The BPCT is meant to serve introductory level undergraduate students. The BPCT is structured as a condensed textbook, lab manual, and interactive workbook designed to engage the students before, during, and after the in-class sessions. Other instructors can adopt the Biology of Plants Coloring Textbook (BPCT) and tailor it to their own curriculum and goals following the Open Educational Resource model. The text is licensed CC-BY-NC by Dr. Rachel Jabaily. The images are licensed CC-BY-NC-ND by M.G.B. Hurst.
